Galvanized sheet refers to a steel sheet with a layer of zinc on the surface. Galvanizing is a commonly used economical and effective rust prevention method, and about half of the world's zinc production is used for this process.
According to the production and processing methods, it can be divided into the following categories:
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. The thin steel sheet is immersed in a molten zinc tank to make a thin layer of zinc adhere to its surface. It is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel sheet is continuously immersed in a molten zinc plating tank to make a galvanized steel sheet;
Alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This steel sheet is also made by hot dipping, but after leaving the tank, it is immediately heated to about 500ºC to form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This galvanized sheet has good adhesion and weldability of the paint;
Electrogalvanized steel sheet. This galvanized steel sheet made by electroplating has good processability. But the coating is thinner and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheet;
Single-sided and double-sided differential galvanized steel sheets. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet is a product that is galvanized on only one side. In terms of welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc., it has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheet. In order to overcome the disadvantage of not coating one side with zinc, there is another type of galvanized sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, namely, double-sided differential galvanized sheet;

There are two types of galvanized sheets: cut into fixed lengths and rolled galvanized sheets. Generally, the packaging is made of iron sheets, lined with moisture-proof paper, and tied to the bracket with iron waists. The tying should be firm to prevent the galvanized sheets inside from rubbing against each other.
1. Hot rolled coils are made of continuous casting slabs or initial rolled slabs. They are heated in a step-beam heating furnace, descaled with high-pressure water, and then enter the rough rolling mill. The rough rolled material is cut and then enters the finishing mill for computer-controlled rolling. After the final rolling, it is cooled by laminar flow (cooling rate is controlled by computer) and coiled by a coiler to become a straight roll.
2. Cold Rolled Coils Different from hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil refers to the steel strip that is directly rolled to a certain thickness by rollers at room temperature and then rolled into a whole roll by a coiler. Compared with hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil has a brighter surface and higher finish, but it will produce more internal stress and is often annealed after cold rolling.
3. Galvanized coils are made by dipping thin steel sheets into a molten zinc bath to make a layer of zinc adhere to the surface of the thin steel sheet. It is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel sheets are continuously dipped into a molten zinc bath to make galvanized steel sheets; alloyed galvanized steel sheets. This type of steel sheet is also made by hot dip method, but after leaving the bath, it is immediately heated to about 500ºC to form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This type of galvanized coil has good coating adhesion and weldability.
4.Color coated steel coil is a product made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel sheet, electro-galvanized steel sheet, etc. After surface pretreatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), one or several layers of organic coating are applied on the surface, and then cured by baking. It is named after the colored steel coils coated with various colors of organic coatings, and is referred to as color coated steel coils.
